Where I Am, and Why It Doesn't Matter
I live on The Lizard - the southernmost point of mainland Britain, about as far from a Soho studio as you can get without getting your feet wet. Nipping up to London for a session isn't a quick trip, and it isn't a sensible use of anyone's budget either. So the studio came here instead.
That's really the whole story of this page. Instead of you booking a room and paying travel, you link up to me instantly over Source Connect, Cleanfeed or Zoom and we run a properly directed session as if I were next door.
It's a nice fact rather than a sales pitch - it tells you where I live, not what I do. What I do is deliver a natural British male voice, recorded properly, to clients anywhere in the world. Being this far out just means there's nothing between you and a session: no travel days, no studio diary, and usually someone available at short notice when a line needs re-recording.

Live sessions, technical questions, revisions and how quotes work
How does a live directed session actually work?
We connect over Source Connect, Cleanfeed or Zoom at a time that suits you. You listen in as I record, give direction between takes, and we keep going until the read is right. Nothing is committed until you're happy with it.
What do I need on my side to join a session?
Very little. If you or your team already use Source Connect or Cleanfeed, we'll use it. If not, Zoom is perfectly good for direction - there's nothing to install and nothing to book.
Is remote audio as good as a session in a studio?
Yes, because the connection isn't what's being recorded. You hear me over the link, but the audio itself is captured locally in my studio at broadcast quality. No lag, no compression artefacts and no dropouts end up in your files.
Can you record without a live session?
Of course. Plenty of clients send a script, a tone reference and written notes, and leave me to it. You get the same studio-quality audio back, usually the same day where the schedule allows.
Can we work across different time zones?
Yes. Most of my clients are outside the UK, so I'm used to early starts and late finishes. Tell me when your team is available and I'll work around you wherever I can.
What if the script changes after delivery?
Send me the amended lines and I'll record them to match the original session. Pick-ups and reasonable revisions are included as standard, so there's no drama and no delay.
Do you ever travel to a studio for a session?
Rarely - almost everything is recorded here. If a project genuinely needs me in the room somewhere, ask and I'll tell you honestly whether it's practical rather than promising something I can't deliver.
How much does a remote session cost?
The session itself is straightforward; the rate depends on how the recording will be used - the media, the territory and how long the licence runs. Send me the script and the usage and I'll quote clearly, usually the same day.
